    Blisted Pearl are a 3 piece band from Colchester, Essex that formed in late 2009. They spent the remainder of the year and the first part of 2010 in rehearsal rooms, bedrooms, anywhere they could go and after only one council noise complaint completed a set. With a group of songs written the band then took to the stage all over during 2010 (Including playing at the o2 Islington academy 2 and supporting Eliza Doolittle!) and released a debut self titled 4 track EP. This year having found some space away from civilisation (well a shed outside Chelmsford) they have concentrated on writing new songs, expanding on the basis of last year's EP and have so far recorded 2 tracks for release on the 18th of March. (Free download will be at blistedpearl.bandcamp.com) The band is now booking shows to promote the new material while still finishing a stack of fresh songs.

Blisted Pearl are a 4 piece band from Colchester, Essex, that formed in late 2009. They spent the remainder of the year, and the first part of 2010, in rehearsal rooms, bedrooms, attics and basements, and after only one council noise complaint, completed a set. With a group of songs written, the band then took to the stages of the south east of the UK. This included dates at the 02 Islington Academy 2, Monto Water Rats, and the University of Essex, supporting Eliza Doolittle on her debut UK tour.

The following year, having found some space away from civilisation (well, a shed outside Chelmsford), the band concentrated on writing new material, expanding on the basis of the previous year’s EP. Two tracks were released on the 18th of March 2011 for free on the net as well as handed out at gigs.

With the introduction of Jonathan Dadds on lead guitar later on in the year, the 4 piece spent the Christmas period recording the new 6 track EP "Wait for You" for release in the early part of this year. The recent expansion to a 4 piece has been reinvigorating, spuring the band on to new places with new sounds.
