Blisterene is a power pop group from Vancouver, Canada, formed in 1995. The group consisted of Mark R Henning (bass, vocals), Malcolm Tente (guitar, vocals) and Tariq Khan (drums, backing vocals). In their three year span the band played continuously throughout Vancouver and toured Canada, with two videos, Gratitude and Broadcast Nationwide being aired in rotation on the country’s music network, Much Music. Mark had left his former band, Pure, at the end of 1994 and called Malcolm to see if he’d be interested in starting a group. The two instantly found their collaborations to be successful and in a short time demoed up four songs in order to find a proper drummer to fit the band’s sound. Tariq was discovered in less than two weeks and the band performed their first show three weeks later.
Recording at Malcolm’s “Tomorrowland Studio”, essentially a rehearsal space with room for equipment, the three quickly built up their repertoire and by the end of 1996 had their debut cd completed. So I Have Them consisted of ten power pop tunes that displayed the trio’s influences of The Replacements, Pixies, Descendents, and The Police. Before disbanding in 1998 Blisterene recorded seven more songs, some of which are now available to be hear on their posthumously released album The Rest.

Mackenzie and Ricky are getting married in May. How have you been doing? We are going Saturday and start looking at dresses. They didn't give me much notice but thats Mackenzie, right? LOL Oh hey! I already took the pics to be printed lol! Some of them were soo freakin hilarious! And i loved the picture of us ... it was sooo cute..so yah, guess what? 'member those surveys i was doing online? well, i got 2 checks so far! told ya it was real!! it aint like a ton of money, just like 175 so far, but its good coin to start with, right? you should really do it, now that i've gotten paid ..i guess you'll have to type the link into internet explorer or whatever, but here it is:

I havent been able to make it over to the hotel to stop in for a minute... clints been working in town again so im back on dinner duty. lol we are trying to get a mailing list made for my mom to send the invitations out so that's yay. its going to be june 6th at 11a we're going to have some food a bit before. kind of a celebration thang, ya know? quitting mah job with that lameass of a boss jaime. gah, i aint gonna miss her at all! i still cant believe that that survey thing that britt showed me is actually working - n dat we're gettin paid; im so luvin it too. givin mah opinion on stuff i do - pshhh ... so easy. i wonder if we'll ever hit da cash that that website said we would. i dunno, but with my last check being $126, i dont even care. i only pulled in like 200 a week and my crapass job anyway, so this is perfect. you should do it, i'm tellin yah. i guess you'll have to type the link into internet explorer or whatever, but here it is:
