Since 2002, based in Tunbridge Wells, we've been playing Brazilian, Cuban and African influenced rhythms at a wide variety of gigs across the UK.
As the band has grown, musically and physically, it has been an exciting time with gigs cramming up our diaries, branching out all over the south east and as far afield as Truro, Swansea, the Edinburgh Frindge Fest and overseas to the Coburg International Samba Festival, Germany. Last year also proved to be very exciting as we established the addition of the stylish and energetic Bloco Fogo Dancers as well as a shiny new horn section bringing added dimension and colour to our experience.
Now in 2009 we are all very excited to enter another year of fun and experience, be it playing parades, clubs, festivals and are very happy to be welcomed back to play Coburg International Festival for the third year running with a massive 40 piece bloco.
Being a community band, we always welcome new faces. You don't need any experience at all! We provide all the instruments and accessories you'll need and your first session is free.

"Bandidas Galaxy" è uno spettacolo di musica brasiliana di sole percussioni, organizzato dal gruppo Bandidas. La peculiarità di questa banda è la sua componente prettamente femminile a cominciare da Antonella, il direttore d'orchestra. Le coreografie si uniscono al ritmo Bahiano e alla simpatia di 15 percussioniste scatenate che sapranno stupire il pubblico presente con eccentrici spettacoli!
