Hey there... found some funny stuff on Hannity's myspace page! Check out his comments section... the comparison chart is good, but the person who posted is way funny... a little scary too!!!
You know, Guilliani has many great qualities... one of which is being true to himself instead of playing from the polls! He just doesn't budge when it really counts to take a stand... I really like that about him! He's got integrity!
As far as Guilliani goes, I don't really count on him doing anything about curing the problem, but I DO expect him to spend the money in more pertinent areas, such as defense, than to spend it frivilously. Plus hes one of the few candidates I trust NOT to make the problem worse. McCain likes to appease Democrats, Huckabee IS a Democrat, and well, lets face it, Romney is a Republican who managed to become Governor of Massachussets, one of the most liberal states in the Union. You know he didn't do that by being a hard-lined, small government Republican. I'm voting Guilliani and getting the hell out.
Well, actually this IS something to worry about, though the whole video itself is a bit slanted. Believe it or not I side with Ron Paul on alot of economic issues. Both Rep. and Dem. are ruining our economy in the name of a "better society". Both parties are about spending now, not just the Democrats. But what that video conveniently leaves out is how important American economy is in the world economy. Sure the Euro is rising against the dollar, but if the American economy suddenly collapses, so will the majority of other economies. It would be chaos for everyone. At this point, international trade and interests are so entertwined that the world market will eventually make up for the week dollar. Example: While the American dollar is weak, American goods are affordable. International markets automatically turn to the cheapest sources, which eventually would be the declining American market. They now have incentive to dump money into the American economy simply because it benefits them to. Its cheap. At the same time, though our currency doesn't buy as much in the international market as it did, foreign producers end up with a weakened dollar. Why, then, would they take that dollar to another market and attempt to use it there, when they can just turn around and put it back into the only market that still really values it? Eventually the money returns anyways.
What people don't realize is that the market is self regulating. We freak out over recessions and set up institutions *cough* The Fed *cough* that attempt to fix it. The only problem is that the market fixes itself. Its when the government takes an active role in the market (either by subsidizing or regulating) that we get ourselves into HUGE trouble (for example, the Great Depression was made worse by government intervention). So yeah, be worried. We're spending ridiculous amounts of money and getting ourselves in debt. Dems love it, Reps support it, we all get screwed. No one is willi
