About me: A little history on my work...
I began painting with my blood somewhere around the middle of high school. Usually I would just use whatever to make a small cut in a discrete location and paint little designs or what not. I wrote a small book of poems in like 9th or tenth grade, Sadly the girl they were written for was not impressed:(
About 1998 I began to really take the medium seriously and experiment with proper ways to collect my blood and keep clotting to a minimum. It is really difficult to paint with clotted blood! Now all the blood is collected safely via proper collection materials, IE Beveled needles and vacuum tubes coated with Heparin to counter clotting.
All Paintings are done in my home, while the blood collecting is very neat and clean, the painting can get a little messy. After each work is finished, the paintings are let to dry. They are then coated with a clear finish, followed by an acrylic coating. This helps to preserve color and longevity. The chemicals in the clear would also kill any blood borne pathogens.
Being the responsible cat that I am, I have routine blood work done every 6 months and do not live a high risk lifestyle. A copy of my current neg status is made available to anyone purchasing an original painting, upon request:)
Who I'd like to meet: H. R. Geiger, Alice Cooper...again, Maynard Keenan, Bill Maher, Guy Atchison

Wow! I can’t believe that you use your blood to paint. This really contemporary art. I specifically like the teddy bear and the religious painting of Blood-Supper and Obliviance. I am sure if someone ark “what medium did you use?” Anyway. Take care and thanks joining my friends groupe.
