Blood Harvest formed together as a complete band in 2007. Although the band was originally conceived in 2005, there was never a complete line up and no shows were ever played. Derek(vocals) and Phil(guitar) started writing music together in their apartment after a break up with their then current band. They soon wrote the first demo. Two years time has created the Progressive Death Metal powerhouse you now hear and see today. Donny was first to join after a slow break up with his band at the time, quickly picking up the music and adding his own style and speed to the music. His drumming is precise and dynamic to say the least. Soon after, close friend of the band, Chinn joined bringing the much needed guitar skills it takes to fill the shredded harmonies, unmatched soloing and technical change ups that are needed for Blood Harvest. After Chinn we called upon the skills of another old friend, Steve, who brought in his badass bass skills and learned the whole first set in just weeks. These 3 brutal musicians have mixed perfectly with the original two members Phil and Derek. Which was definately a must with Phil's amazing guitar skills and dynamic musical craftsmenship. Backed with Chinn and Steve's equally amazing talent and precision, Blood Harvest aren't showing any signs of stopping! With vocalist/lyricist Derek, displaying some of the most mentally stimulating lyrics and brutal,guteral vocal skills used in progressive metal today. Blood Harvest have found their niche as being a finely honed Progressive Death Metal Machine, that can not and will not be stopped.
