Formed autumn 2002 in London. Seamus and Reverend Al had played together in various bands since 1994. The last of these, Evil Knievel, fell apart but not before heavy hitting Barrow-in-Furness born drummer Klaus Von Liksmeinschaft" (Suthy to his mates) was recruited. South African born singer Warren had moved to the UK originally with the aim of doing something with his then band Blind. It didn't go to plan but then, thanks to a mutual friend, he met the Reverend and thus the Blood Island Raiders were born.
Since debuting in December '02 the band have played with the cream of heavy music, including; Alabama Thunderpussy, Cathedral, Brant Bjork and Nick Oliveiri, Grand Magus, Electric Wizard, High On Fire, Orange Goblin, Dukes of Nothing, GWAR, Bongzilla, Witchcraft, Volition, Mastodon... to name but a few.
To date they have released a self produced EP "For the Sake of Clarity"; A limited edition split 12" with Among The Missing titled "Blessed are the Dead" (only 300 on red vinyl) ; A CD re-issue of "Blessed are the Dead" with extra live tracks from both bands. They also had an exclusive track featured on the cover mounted CD of the Xmas 2005 edition of Terrorizer Magazine (No. 139).
In 2006 the band were approached by Bristol based indie label Invada Records, and they completed their first full length for them, which came out in summer 2007.
In late February 2007 Seamus decided to pursue other avenues, and the Raiders, after much hit and miss, finally found a full time replacement in the shape of Tjay. By all accounts he is the perfect man for the job.

My new 3 album box set ODESSA delves into the disgusting involvement the United States government had in hiding Nazi war criminals that were deemed, "intelligence assets", to be used against the Russians. ODESSA also examines the enthusiastic role the Franciscan Order, Argentinian and Chilean Governments, and Arab leaders who hated the Jews played in hiding and finding new homes for former fascists. It seems many nations had a reason to keep these monsters from being captured, and this is my attempt to expose the establishment of a Fourth Reich in South America that still exists to this day.
