Bloodletting is a text-based role playing game in which the play of the game is completely dictated by its players. Characters are born into the world of Bloodletting when they register a unique user account with the game. Once account information is completed and a race is selected, The player enters the world as either a Vampire, Witch Slayer, Werewolf or Angel.
The players within the game have nearly complete control over what their character does in the world of Bloodletting. Their roleplay is conducted in the forums where they can interact with other players in the Realm. They can exchange ideas and banter in the City Life forums, or discuss the days kills in their respective Coven and Sanctuary forums.
For those needing a little guidance from more experienced players or even the Immortals themselves, there is the Mortal Thoughts forum. There is gold to be made in Bloodletting as well. Charters may choose an easier path to wealth and twice a day there are City Searches to partake in. An opportunity to search your surroundings and maybe obtain some discarded valuables. For those that may be a bit squeemish, there are small time crimes to be committed. For those after a little more danger and booty, there is the Black-market. Your crimes and searches bring the chance of winding up in the dungeons. Here players can interact with each other as well while they sit and wait for a breakout. Or, if they wish, they can attempt their own jailbreaks or assist others is breaking free. For those with true bloodlust and the desire to wage war against their sworn enemy, there is attacking, bounties, and Inactive player kills. Once any of the five races fall, they must be born again under a new identity and at the lowest ranks. Be warned though that death is permanent if you go Inactive, are killed in a coven or Sanctuary war, or are bountied. Players however get special privileges if they are donators to the site.
For those choosing the path of leadership of a Coven or Sanctuary or make a quick getaway, there are several cities to visit or Set up Head quarters within the Bloodletting realm. Just book a flight on Dark Moon Air and make your escape into the night. Those that rise to the top of their game will have the chance to bring others into the fold. Vampires or Witches may start Covens and Slayers, Werewolf's and Angels may start Sanctuaries, once they reach the required rank. These groupings allow for more power and adhere to the old saying, "There is strength in numbers". Whether you are thrown into the dark or fight for the light, Bloodletting is what you make of it.
