Bloodline started years ago as a backup band for Chicago blues artist Chicago Slim. In 1990,led by bassist Dan Noel Sr.,who had 20+ years with Chicago Slim,we set out on our own to do it our way. Bloodline was chosen as a name, because,in the beginning, the lineup included,Dan Sr,and sons Dan Jr on guitar and Donny on drums. Over the years, sons John and Tim have contributed musically, and we have had some of our best friends and finest players a family could want come thru the lineup. Even today,we have Dan Sr's first cousin Charlee playing bass and singing for us,so...it is still a family affair. Dan Sr. is retired now,but still shows up at our gigs to set in and show us how its done sometimes!! LOL We are down to a tight little 4 piece now,and workin to make it the best it can be. Our newst member, Mutz Hoffman,is just a trip to see live, leaving folks with their jaws on the floor from his energy, awesome vocals, and shreddin lead work. Mutz worked with the Noel Boys back in The Ransom days,so its good to have an old friend back in the fold. Charlee joined us in 2004,and has taken over much of the singing, along with Mutz. Originally from Michigan,Charlee has played it all over the years, working mostly in Blues,Soul,R+B and Rock bands, even touring around the country doin Top 40 in the 80's. He also did a stint in an Oldies Comedy act,but he cant remember much about that!!!!! Dan Jr...carrying on the family tradition for his Dad,is the guitar player every great lead player wants backin him up....good,solid chops, nice clean tones, and right in the groove...it doesnt get any better. He's been there from the start, along with brother Donny. A pocket drummer if there ever was one, layin down the groove, and steering the band thru the set lists. Indeed...."Shakin the family tree,...in the name of the Blues!!!!"
