Headshott formed over summer of 08, our story is just as cliche as everyone elses. The lead singer Jesse W. (me) originally asked a few friends Josh Johnson and Mark C. to get together to perform the song tanks because I felt it was an important message and wanted to share it. At first they told me to screw off, but I didn't drop it. Eventually I had Josh alone and showed him some of my songs on the acoustic guitar and he was really impressed. From then on, Josh and I started rockin' together and would get together and practice my songs. After some time, we asked Mark (again) to be apart of what we were trying to start. After hearing what we had, he agreed. Well through all the pain and anger in putting that song together, which is damn near 10 mins long, we started writting other songs and eventually wanted to become an official band. Maggie B. soon after joined as our cellist and has been makin some sweet ass riffs since.
We're all music majors within the college which makes it hell for the band 'cause were all so f'ing anal about everything. The compositions in this band are not only written by one person or just the whole band, so far everyone has had a chance to add their sound in order to compress our uniqueness. Im just starting out as a singer so be easy, we couldn't find anyone else to give us what we wanted. Well thanks for visiting the site, hope you like what you hear.
