Initially formed in the fall of 2007, when bassist Adam Starrett and drummer Lynn
Hayes teamed up with vocalist Scott Welch and guitarist Kolby Kinsey, the four set out
to put together a true band of brutality with such a captivatingly crushing sound that
would be a force to be reckoned with. With the addition of guitarist David Dunlevy, who
joined the fold in August of 2008, Bloodshot Tragedy is a powerhouse quintet of
insanity with punishing hooks, brutal grooves, and a wide range of metal influences, old
and new alike, while retaining the group’s collective distinct personality.Over the course of the last year, this band’s onslaught of live shows have been
widespread throughout the DFW area, as both supporting act and headliner alike, in
various venues such as the historic Ridglea Theatre, Dreamworld Music Complex, the
Curtain Club, Vampire Lounge, Skillman St. Bar and Rockstar Sportsbar, just to name
a few. In that amount of time, the group has collected recordings and video footage
from numerous shows as well as the two song demo that was recorded in January of
2009 with producer and studio/sound engineer D. Braxton Henry.Most recently, the band has been gearing to shoot a video for their song Lifeless, at
Dallas Sound Lab, with additional live footage from their 10/2/09 show at the Curtain
