Arabella's Interests
|
| General | Artist: doing gothic horror/ fetish/ fantasy art, photography, sculpture and make-up. I love doing special effects make-up and body painting. I love U.V. and holographic and metallic colours, anything that glows in the dark- how magical and shiny P.V.C.! you won't see me dead without P.V.C. And I love my gore and fantasy art and the Y.B.A.'s :) Psychometry, listening to music, going to gigs, dancing, ballet, theatre, contemporary and gothic hangouts, necro-urination, ha ha- seriously, it's true- ask my friends ;) Mice | | Music | I love goth/ metal/ industrial/ cheesy 80's music. I like
"Fear Factory", "Wumpscut", "Nattefrost"- wicked I love the Nattefrost takes a piss song!! "The Mission"- I love dancing to it,"Sisters of Mercy", "Christian Death", "Cradle of Filth", "Witcharia"- of course, "The Bangles", "Bonnie Tyler", "Emperor", "Nephilim", "Hanzel Und Gretyl", "I", "Die Krupps", "Amon Amarth", "Depeche Mode", "Blutengel", "Duran Duran", "My Dying Bride","Insomnium", "Decapitated", "Onslaught", "Dimmu Borgir","Chthonic", "Devilish Impressions", "Necrosadistic Goat Torture", "Death in June", "Cruxshadows", "Witchery","Shakespeare's Sister", "Rotting Christ", "W.A.S.P.", "Dagoba", "Defacer", "Billy Idol", "Alice Cooper", "Diary of Dreams", "Destroid", "London After Midnight", "Disturbed", "Sisters of Mercy", "V.N.V. Nation", "Entombed", "Slayer", "Assemblage 23", "Covenant", "Iron Maiden", "Malaise", "Skinny Puppy", "Rammstein", Sheep on Drugs"- they're a classic for a fucking laugh, "Evanescence", "Prodigy", "Cult", "Metallica", e.t.c, you get the jist! | | Movies | You've got to watch, "Witches Sabbath", it's a great sexy fetish feiminst film! "Last of the Mohicans"- it's a true romantic and there's quite a horny bloke in that film too. "Goth"- I AM her- Goth, (she has my mentality), she's freakily too much like me! "Lord of the Rings", "Resident Evil", probably the future "The Crow",- has another horny bloke in it too and I'm not talking about Brandon Lee- I'm talking about the one that dies on the roof with the gargoyles with his blood gushing out!, "Hardware", "Boadiccea",- Celtic warrior queen of the rebellious Iceni tribe, (my homelands), she rules! Ever seen the vast archaeological layer of Roman Britain of which she burnt? "Gladiator", "Dirty Dancing", I'm always dirty dancing!!!! Haven't you seen it yet?! "The Matrix", feeds my intellect, "Braveheart", another romantic, "Sacrificed", "Elektra", all women should be powerful like her, "Chasing Amy", reminds me of a time in my life, "Underworld Evolution", "King Arthur", an amazingly accurate historical depiction of Rome's politics, power, treatment of women and paganism- my Classical Civilisation lessons came alive in the film, "Sin City"- look at the amazing detail in the graphics!!! I love the mix of black and white and minimal colour, "The Lost Boys", of course, "Fifth Element"- bitches kick ass, "Lord of the Dance", "Riverdance", amazing footwork and, "Strange Fish"- DV8 Physical Theatre, "Giselle", how Gothic can you get?! "Flesh and Blood"- Lea Anderson. | | Television | Who needs television when its your job to watch a free evening live theatre performance of We Will Rock You in the West End 6 days a week every week???? Aye aye???!! ;) :) | | Books | I don't read books unless they have pictures in them. However, I highly recommend, "Slaves of Isis", by Madam de Morville and, "Lords of Chaos", by Michael Moynihan and Didrik Soderlind. Shakespeare's, "Macbeth" of course. These are the only 2 books that are not jam packed with pictures that can only hold my attention span for longer than 10 minutes, (other than certain magazines). I'm a visual person. Other than that I recommend loads of art books, inlcuding, "****** Up and Photocopied- Instant Art of the Punk Rock Movement", "This is Modern Art", by Matthew Collings, "High Art Lite", by Julian Stallabrass, "Awful Art", by Michael Cox, "But is it Art?", by Cythia Freeland, "The Art Book", series, by Phaidon and any Luis Royo/ Damien Hirst/ Giger/ Sarah Lucas/ Cindy Sherman/ Gilbert and George books you can get your hands on! Other than that, books like, "What they Don't Tell You About Invaders", by Bob Fowke and any books on myths or legends or Stonehenge! | | Heroes | Bonnie Tyler- ha ha, that suprised you didn't it! Tracey Emin, John Deitrich and Jean-Marc Rulier- love the texture of his pictures. The singer of, "Christian Death"/ "Lover of Sin", also has a hell of an amazing unique voice, Goat Throat- Necrosadistic Goat Torture and the singer from Arch Enemy have hella amazing voices too, (although I can't call Goatthroat a heroine as I know her ha ha!) but it has to be said she has one hell of an amazing voice and so does Mariah Carey, her voice range- fuck!!- used to listen to her shit at boarding school constantly. Damien Hirst, Cathy de Moncheaux, Edward Hughes- look at the colour in those pictures!! H.R.Giger, Andres Serrano, Luis Royo, Red Sonja, Mark Quinn, Jake and Dinos Chapman, Lea Anderson- what a wicked dance choreographer!, Boadiccea, (see movies above), William Etty- he could see the future of art, he was a true rebel realist. Bill Henson- there's some REAL emotions going on in those photos, I love the raw Bacchanalian shit- bring people back to the real world- none of this censor shit! People who stick up for what they believe in and never give up.
Take the quiz: Who would you be in the War of Armageddon?
Hell's Forces You'd be best suited to fight as a demon in hell's army or a human in the earthly forces of The Antichrist. You're just plain destructive and bad-natured. You like to destroy and you have no remorse for doing so. You're partly psychotic and that usually gets you into trouble. You defend evil whenever possible and you cannot stand those who fight for a noble cause. You are controlled by a greater and more powerful leader but you make a good pawn, a tool. Be wary, for you will soon meet your match.
