Born in south Louisiana and raised in Houston, TX, Slim Bloodworth is a comedic natural who is comfortable in front of almost any audience. Slim’s a warm and likable persona, a blend of big city smart-ass and laid back southern witticism. But don’t mistake her Texas drawl and coy southern smile for the average southern female joke peddler. Behind all that charm, is a sharp, razor edged wit, which is delivered with a punch, not a slap.
Usually the first one to call the “elephant in the room”, Slims humor is dark and not meant for those who carry their sensitivities on their sleeves. Slim delves into broad ideals and her material tends to encompass cultural, social, and religious observation and commentary in a manner that is blunt, real and brutally honest. Rising as one of America’s finest comedic storytellers, Slim “cuts the crap” and proves that the Truth is much, much funnier than fiction, a trait that has kept her out of the mainstream media but has gained her a large and growing underground following. Physical and expressive, Slim is a comic that should be seen, as well as heard, as she can convey thought and emotion almost entirely through facial expressions that are convincingly in the moment. Slim onstage is a pretty volatile ball of freewheeling, good-humored energy.
Slim began performing in 1999 in Houston, TX and by early 2001, Slim was a nationally touring act. By 2004 she was an internationally touring comic, performing across Canada, as well as entertaining the military troops overseas. Slims extensive travels have made her a bit of a wandering philosopher with a daring spirit and her wildly adventurous, true-life tales have become an ever evolving part of her show. Slim is a not to be missed act for those who like their comedy dark, honest and fun.

Slim Bloodworth's Interests
General
Check out: http://groups.myspace.com/comicbloodworth
And now my interests:
Ideas, theories, philosophies, music, finding pictures in the clouds, laughing after a show, camping, almost anything outdoors, art, poetry, reading, movement, cemetaries, folk lore, legends, myths, fashion, sexuality, religion, communication, education.... blah, blah, blah.
Music
I'm a bit of a music snob as well as a conisure. I enjoy every kind of music with the exception of Tejano (no offense to anyone, but that damn organ grates on my nerves after a short time). As long as the artist is sincerely talented and has worked hard on their craft, as long as they have something to say or show me. I love everything from Opera and Classical to Blues and Jazz, to Techno and Trance, dico, dance, Rock, Punk, hard core, you name it... I even like a nice Polka.
Movies
I'm really picky about movies... V For Vendetta, Kung Fu Hustle, The Sadest Music In The World, The Triplets of Bellville, Amadeus, Immortal Beloved, Noises Off, D.E.B.S., Hell Raiser Trilogy, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Powder, Dogma, Pot Luck, a shit load of independants I'm not mentioning at the moment, and anything involving me.
Television
Not a fan of T.V. the only things I watch realy are the Discovery Channel, National Geographic Channel, Animal Planet, History Channel and on occasion something on PBS. I'm tired of getting bombarded with skewed news, commercials trying to sell me drugs... Wasn't it back in the 80's they used to have a commercial about a drug dealer trying to push a joint on a kid saying "C'mon, I'll give you this one free..."? Parents - The Anti Drug.
Well first off, I've never know a dealer to give JACK SHIT away free and second off these damn drug commercials now are geared toward OUR FUCKIN' PARENTS... "Call now for your FREE TRIAL of Viagra!"
Mother Fuckers....
Books
Oy... I love to read. I like a fiction based on facts or a good story within a story, Ernest Hemingway was a great inside out writer that way.
I like non fiction and I like fantasy... Love those Harry Potter Books and when it comes to a good horror story... NOBODY CAN TOUCH CLIVE BARKER! Clive also has a childs fairytale book called "The Thief of Always" which is fantastic and a fantasy series called the Abarat which is awesome!
Heroes
I have 'em, my heros... But the thing about a great hero is that they don't think they're a hero, don't know they're a hero, don't want to be told they're a hero and are a hero unintentionally. They are inspiring by showing us what we could be without ever expecting us to be.
About me: I'm the kind of person you either love or hate... most folks love me though. I'm glad, because I can be the most lovable asshole you've ever met with a loyalty unparalleled. That doesn't mean I won't tell you the truth or that I'm blinded by devotion though. I'm sarcastic at times to the point of scathing, but I'm also very charming, charismatic and social. I can be eloquent and brutally honest... If you haven't caught on yet, I'm a talker... a sweet talker. I'm very good too, so good in fact that I can communicate an entire conversation without a word. I'm very clever, I'm a thinker and philosopher. I'm very well rounded that way and have broad interests.
I'm not gorgeous, I'm not beautiful, but I'm cute and androgynous... And in many ways I'm just like you, but most of all I'm fun, I'm funny, I'm entertaining and I've got a lot of freewheelin' good humored energy. I enjoy being creative, I enjoy celebrating life by poking fun at it. I'm horrible about keeping in touch with people, even the ones I love, but they're never far from my thoughts. Also, I type for shit and my spelling can be atrocious. And did I mention humble? I'm humble too...

I love you Skinny! More than tortas and sandwiches. I hope you have a fun time up there in Canada! Remember, STAY AWAY FROM THE LIGHT! Lesbian Vahalla can wait, we need you down here.
slim! lets talk soon. i never heard anything back about april. i know you're booked ill fall, but if you wanted the show on your return trip for some gas dollas and a hotel for the night, you gotta let me know
If I offended you, Slim, I sincerely apologize. I know you constantly work, but it seems to me that most of your stories take place in one of those two places; or at least what I hear. I have nothing but respect for you, so I'm sorry that I wasn't clear with my statement.
