Bloody Knuckles is a tight classic rock cover band with a few Rock originals mixed in. They have been together for only about 3 years. They may be young but definitely don't lack experience. The band has had a full schedule right from the beginning.
They have won a few awards including "Best Local Band 2009" by Newport Life Magazine readers, "Best Local Band 2008" for The Mercury Love Awards. The band has been nominated for Motif Magazines "Band Of The Year 2009" for their Rock Catagory as well as nominated for The Mercury Love Awards again for 2009.
They have played many private functions as well as Charity Functions and Benefits. They have had the great fortune and generosity of many to play at a few local clubs here in their home town & around R.I. several times.
Bloody Knuckles won the first annual Molly Finn Battle of the Bands at Ballard Park competing against 10 other bands and received studio time and their own headlining gig as a prize which turned out to be the most attended show to date at Ballard Park. They also headlined the First Night in Newport Teen Concert at the infamous Jane Pickens Theater which again was standing room only. Bloody Knuckles hosted and played an all ages show at a local club which sold out to capacity and was a huge success.
They were filmed and will be featured on a segment of Cox Cables local television show "The Loop" which is being shown now for the month of May 2008.
These boys have been getting lots of press!!! That's where the experience comes in. At this point they seem to be old veterans in the local music scene with quite a following.
Bloody Knuckles has opened for the Led Zeppelin Tribute band Kashmir as well as the AC/DC Tribute band Dirty Deeds many times and ZO2 from Brooklyn N.Y. twice. The best gig to date would have to be opening for Gary Hoey for the third time. This band has yet to have a worst gig but are willing to play as much as possible while loving every minute of it.
Favorite bands & influences of Bloody Knuckles would be : Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Guns & Roses, Aerosmith
The band is working on building up their set list and writing original material. This being no easy feat since they are always booked to play out somewhere. Never the less, they are very serious about getting discovered, getting signed to a label & going on tour since that's what they like to do the most. Entertain.
