the blotter's Blurbs |
About me:
Monthly creative magazine featuring fiction, poetry, essays, art, photography, comix, and downright unclassifiables. Think a mashup of MAD Magazine meeting the Paris Review, the two of them getting seriously drunk on brown liquor, Southern Gothic and punk rock, but agreeing on one thing: damn good writing. A "literary magazine" that ventures where you wouldn't expect literary magazines to be seen. To be read at the bar of a college-town nightclub where a band you don't know but whose soundcheck rocked are about to play. To be folded into a hip pocket like a bootleg flask; propped behind the urinal flush handle for the next guy; stuffed inside the driver's-side visor; used to wipe up a latte ring on the coffeehouse table.
|
Who I'd like to meet:
Poets, writers, artists, singers, musicians; advertisers, subsidizers, wealthy Maharajahs, sugar daddies; ad sales whizzes, blogmeisters, eager young delivery boys/girls/others; all who read, all who think, all who take their thinking with a healthy grain of salt.
