Originating from East London in the mid 1980s, the story of the Blowineast collective is that of a group of friends that have come together through a mutual respect for one anothers creative expression.
The concept of Blowineast is that of a creative collective that is to say it is through the forum of Blowineast, its members and associated collaborative partnerships are able to evolve both individually and collectively.
The Blowineast name has been adopted to signify the richness of the east, on a micro scale from city to city where the east is often recognised as a region of raw energy or on a macro level world-wide, where the east is acknowledged for the deepness and spirituality of its culture. The reference Blowineast depicts recognition of this fact and acts as a celebration of this creativity.
At the current time, the Blowineast collective are involved in a number of projects as diverse as djing, music production and print design yet intrinsically linked through the Blowineast vision. The belief of Blowineast is one that may be closely compared to the origins of the house music they aspire to, a belief that through allowing the opportunity for creative expression, we may collectively move forward.
