    blowska's Interests
GeneralI want to do everything until I'm bored of it. That means I'm interested in just about everything. Having said that, I most like wandering around the internet and signing up to stuff, and then trying to unsubscribe to it. I like reading, watching films, and all the other stuff that everyone puts down. I would say that I like European cinema, but you won't believe me, and I'm not sure I even believe it myself. I also frequent large fields just to stand there and smell flowers, and feel at one with mother nature. I know there's a time coming soon when that won't be available as an option, so I'm trying to squeeze it all in now.
MusicI hate 'r and/or b' and UK garage. I think it's dull and it inspires nothing in me. I like to be inspired. I like to feel bass, rhythm and energy moving the little blood cells around my body. So, I like jazz stuff - old/classic rather than smooth. Like Miles Davis. Obviously. Blues. If I'm in that kinda mood. Like Duke Ellington, John Coltrane. Classical. I like listening to opera because it makes me feel clever if I understand it. I listen to Madama Butterfly and the story makes me cry. Swing and big band, especially very upbeat stuff. Oldies like Artie Shaw, and new bands like Squirrel Nut Zippers, Jive Aces, and Royal Crown Revue. And pop. Yes I like pop. Daphne and Celeste, Savage Garden, etc. Because it is very easy to listen to and doesn't make me have any emotion other than remembering moments of my life.
MoviesI have been dragged into watching quite a lot of European cinema, especially French and Spanish. I liked Kieslowski's Three Colours Trilogy. And La Haine, because I like angry stuff. And Bad Education (Almodovar) because it was funny. I like films that are about shit people leading shit lives. Like Twin Town, Trainspotting, Requiem for a Dream. And musicals. Like Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Chicago, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Evita. And I like funny/trashy films like Clueless and My Girl. I am really a girl.
BooksDepressing books - Houellebecq is personal fave. And big epic drama books like Lord of the Rings (come on - who doesn't like it?) and the Northern Lights Trilogy by Philip Pullman. I always like to feel like I'm being very clever by reading something, so I get really into Umberto Eco stuff (Foucault's Pendulum, Name of the Rose) and all that. And I quite like Harry Potter.
