Originally hailing from Scotland, Blu trained as a dancer in Edinburgh before moving on to London.
She globe trotted around the world dancing and singing for many different audiences. A life-changing event happened after a visit to her first Hip-Hop club when she figured out that music was the only way forward for her.
On her return to London she gave up her dance career and lived a hermit's life honing her skillz as a singer/songwriter while trying to perfect her own individual style and voice.
"It took a while!" she says.
A friend dragged her onto MySpace where she was instantly inundated with people wanting to collaborate with her! "Its been overwhelming but being on there has been an inspiring and exciting experience she said"
The result is her debut album "Standing with Giants." An album with edge with collaborations with some of the "freshest producers and MC's from around the globe," Blu notes.
It's "a mixture of Hip-Hop, electronica and other wordly experiences! Eclectic Hip-Hop is what I like to call it," she says. "I always have to reach for something different, fresh and out of the box."
