BLUDEEPA formed in Rome, Italy, in 2002. Sometimes BLUDEEPA is made up of a singer & composer, 2 guitar players, a pianist (Edoardo Ravaglia), a bass player, and a drummer. Sometimes it isn't.
BLUDEEPA is quite certain that the distinction between high and low culture is a sham. BLUDEEPA seeks to demonstrate that the "high" implications, which are usually hidden, can be found in the simplest forms of Rock. BLUDEEPA is against the hyper, ultra-elite phenomena of antagonist and alternative cultures. You don't start a revolution from the outside. Besides, what's spookier than the Well-Known? BLUDEEPA trys to show that there's a subtle yet permeable border between the pop-song composition and atonality. The same goes for having big-time fun and experimenting, as well as art and mass-scale production. BLUDEEPA intends to help mainstream Rock rise up and disobey Rock itself, turning itself inside out. BLUDEEPA doesn't want to leave the sanctified forms to a fate confined in an hamster wheel, rotating around the concept of everlasting immutuability. BLUDEEPA wants to help these forms implode. BLUDEEPA wants to change structures into processes. BLUDEEPA doesn't believe in the creator's ingeniousness, in the creative impulse, in the difference between artist and non-artist. Until December 2005 BLUDEEPA had the privilege to have in the line-up the excellent pianist/programmer Edoardo Ravaglia.
I BLUDEEPA nascono a Roma nel 2002. A volte si compongono di un cantante/compositore, due chitarristi, un pianista, un bassista e un batterista. A volte no.
Certi piu' che mai che la distinzione tra cultura alta e cultura bassa sia una finzione, alimentata a scopi commerciali, i BLUDEEPA si sforzano di mostrare le implicazioni 'alte', di solito nascoste, delle forme piu' semplici di rock, comunemente considerate cultura bassa. I BLUDEEPA sono contro i fenomeni ultra-elitari delle culture antagoniste o delle contro-culture. Non si fanno rivoluzioni dall'esterno. E poi, che cosa c'e' di più inquietante del Gia' Noto? I BLUDEEPA si sforzano di mostrare che tra la forma-canzone e l'atonalita' il confine e' sottilissimo e permeabile, come lo e' tra divertimento ed esperimento, come lo e' tra arte e produzione in serie. I BLUDEEPA aiutano il mainstream rock a rivolgersi contro se stesso, a svuotarsi dall'interno. I BLUDEEPA non abbandonano al loro destino di eterna ripetizione dell'uguale le forme consacrate, ma le aiutano ad implodere. I BLUDEEPA vogliono ribaltare le strutture in processi. I BLUDEEPA non credono alla genialita' dell'artefice, all'impulso creativo, alla differenza tra artista e non-artista. L'Arte e' solo un file da scaricare.
Fino agli inizi del 2006 i BLUDEEPA si sono pregiati di avere con loro il pianista/programmer M.° Edoardo Ravaglia.
Nel mese di Settembre del 2006 i BLUDEEPA hanno
terminato la registrazione dell'album In assoluta presenza di fragilita' con la direzione
