Bludgeoner was formed in 2003 featuring members from bands such as Volatile, Miscreation, Stone Wings and Decayed Divinity.
The band quickly got a set of original material together and made their live debut at the Bloodlust 3 festival. This was well received and the band went on to play many Sydney shows and record their first demo mcd Bludgeoner which has sold well.
In 2004, the band apart from gigging regularly in Sydney, recorded their second mcd Plague of the Dead which again was well received and the band started playing some interstate shows, doing the Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide legs of the Exhumed national tour as well as playing the Armageddon Adelaide festival, and a few gigs in Canberra.
2005 was spent writing material for a full length album and constantly gigging, the band have supported such international acts as Exhumed, Hate Eternal, Abaddon Incarnate and will soon play with Disgorge.
A full length cd is planned on being recorded in 2006.
