Letterpress is the only printing technique that allows the words to literally be pressed into the page, leaving a debossed texture. Our pieces are hand-fed and hand-cranked, providing an attention to detail that is unmatched by modern printing methods.
Visit our website to get more info on our event posters, wedding invitations, announcements, business cards, holiday cards, coasters, music packaging and design!
Who I'd like to meet: We want to meet you! Stop in today to see our cards all letterpressed with love. Our shop is half retail half studio so you can browse our many cards, posters, books and coasters while watching us crank out the goods on our vintage presses!
Intern and apprenticeships available!!

Blue Barnhouse is ashamed to announce that we have joined twitter. This is mostly for any of you who have already succumbed to this inane phenomenon who think it'd be a good idea to witness our banal lives as we embark on the never ending letterpress adventure. For those who don't know what twitter is, congratulations, you should keep it that way.

More details below.
Dec 6 10am-6pm
On Saturday, December 6, several artists and businesses, including several that have opened within the past year, will host a Holiday Art Walk to welcome the holiday season and celebrate the diverse and growing small businesses of the area. Designated the “East West Asheville Holiday Art Walk”, the parameters of the event span the area on Haywood Road on both sides of I-240, and include Domino Lane – a side street off Westwood Place. Participating businesses include the Bloom Room, Blue Ribbon Hair, Minx and Runny Bunny, just west of I-240 on Haywood Road. On the east side, Haywood Road merchants include The Admiral Restaurant, Harvest Records, Blue Barnhouse, A Touch of Glass, Bookworks, Custom, Marty Mitchell Glass, Krug Creative and Steebo Designs. Crazy Green Studios, Mimi Strang Design and Pleasant Hugh Studio are located on Domino Lane.
It's been a long, long road but the time is almost upon us. After 40,000 miles, 4 national tours, and a head full of American landscape, we've finally finished our debut album, Only Sleeping. We will be having our CD Release show this coming Wednesday, December 10th at The Grey Eagle Music Hall in Asheville, NC. We will be accompanied by special guest, Oso Rey, the show starts at 8 pm, tickets are only $8 and CDs are only $10 inside the door!!! Come join us for this pre-holiday festive extravaganza and be the first to see The StereoFidelics like you've never seen them before (kinda). Some new songs, new approaches, and new gadgetry will set the stage and, of course, enough energy to power a medium sized village. Thanks for your support and see you there!!
