Steven Curtis Chapman, England Dan & John Ford Coley, John Denver, Keith Knoche, Harry Chapin, Jim Croce, Rose City Singers, Sting, Randy Stonehill, James Taylor, two guys playing out on the patio at the Nut Tree in Vacaville, California sometime in the mid 1970's, a guy singing with his acoustic guitar in a pizza place in Santa Cruz, California sometime in the late 1970's and The Imperials.
"Last Friday, I went to the Bazaar Cafe in the Richmond because my former roommate Branden Kolarik was playing a show there. I came late so I ended up missing Branden's first set, but I was there in time to see Bart Vogel play. All I can say is oh my God, it was an amazing performance. I had never heard of him before last Friday, but I couldn't help but be memorized by his music. Vogel is about a 50-year-old man who has been playing the guitar for most of his life, and his performance represented a lifetime of constant work. The lyrics were captiviating (including a different take on Don't Worry Be Happy), and he even slapped his palm against his guitar. I love it when musicians do that: using the physical wood as an instrument, not just the strings. His son played backup guitar next to him, and it was nice to see the family dyanamic. Very enjoyable, I'm glad I went." Keith Gaboury - SF Indie Music Examiner (Jun 18, 2009)

Yes, it is cool to find local folks on here. Do you ever go to music (acoustic) jams? We have five each month, in Galt. You may want to check them out. They are fantastic. We have 15-30 musicians each jam. Send me a private message with your email address and I will email you information about the jams.

I will be in Sutter Creek Friday night to hear a friends band. David is going to drum for them. They will be at the Annex. Then again on the 22nd. Have a great weekend! ~Vickie~
