We were all born and raised, later met and started jamming, and still having a great time making music together! Four pieces, with a widely varied setlist of particularly high energy blues rock flavored with a dash of slide guitar, blues harmonica, and screamin' Fenders served up on a bed of rock-solid rhythm. This AIN"T yo' mama's blues!
Blue Bizness and/or it's members have shared the stage with many accomplished artists including Splintered Sunlight, Jason Ricci and New Blood, The Deb Callahan Band, Beaucoup Blue, Jimmy Day's Fish Fry, Paul Michael and the Blues Recruits, Seth Holzman and many more, at venues including Brownies, Chaplin's Music Cafe, The Rusty Nail, Carmines Creole Cafe and AJs. We're immersed in the Philly area blues scene and regulars for years at the staple "open-mics" at the Nail as well as Warmdaddy's.
We wanted to say thank's for dropping by for a cold beer with us and staying for the music. We really appreciate your nice comments. We’re still getting moved in here and with our new album coming out soon, we've been pretty busy. Please stay in touch and drop by any time. Any of your friends that are into hard rock like Deep Purple and classic Whitesnake, please send them over. There will always be plenty of room for new friends at our home. The Cotton Soeterboek Band
Zig, my brother! Great to here from you! I was just thinkin' about you guys! I will call you! I am pretty sure I still have your number, as I have another phone/sims card. You know the deal!
Thanks for the add. Good vibes on your end as well... nice slide work and harp... We'll be looking for you and if we have a free night we'll check out one of your shows...
I'll be at the show early for sound check. You'll see me at the merch table on your way in. Looking forward to seeing you! Might be able to stop at the Washington House pre-show.
Zig - Thanks to you and yours for the review! I'm glad you all are enjoying the CD! Song # 9 (Doctor of Peace) isn't one of the the new ones I'm currently working on (it's from 2002) but I would be honored to have you play harp on it live with me this Saturday at Newtown Welcome Day if you are around! Let me know!
The Wilverines play at 1PM and then I'm playing again with Shannon Lambert-Ryan at 4PM. Mathieu is the assistant sound man and Peter is going to be there all day too.
There's a second song I'd love to have you play on this Saturday too, if you feel like it!
Special thanks go out to Chez and Kathy, Curtis, Drew, Jerry D(the Ribmeister), Dr Earl T, Dave and Diane, Ron D, Suzanne, Cathy and Brian, Will and Cindi, Toni and Jeff, our new friend Patrick from GreyLodge and our guest harmonica wizkid Lil' O for making the Peabody's standing room only/rock till you drop show a smashing success! You are the Music, we're just the band! We'll get back there again soon. You guys are the best.
Hey Guys, we'll be at Chaplins in Spring City on saturday May 10th. Stop out and see us! Jim Weider - guitar (The Band) Mitch Stein - guitar (Steve Kimock, Randy Brecker) Steve Lucas - bass (Bruce Cockburn) Lionel Cordew - drums (Mike Stern)
Hey, it's Dan (drums) from Rocket 88. I picked up one of your posters at Chaplin's and looked up your myspace. My brother (guitar) and I were amazed with how well you nailed those Allman Brothers tunes. If you play at Chaplin's again please leave a comment. We'd really like to hear you guys live.
Zig - I listened to the Wilver-Party "Disc 3" twice now and your solos are amazing - in particular on "The Museum" - Your playing was really out of control! Sort of apocolyptic! I also listened to the whole "Live at Chaplins" disk and your band sounds really tight on it. I especially liked "One Way Out". Deb Calahan's song was cool too. You still need to record the solo for "Yoko". I realized we never finished that. Let me know when you can do it!
Thanks for making the disks! It was great to see you guys on Saturday night!
Hey Don, thanks for jamming with us at Chef's 505 Saturday..you were cooking dude!! Hope you will join us again whenever you're in Raleigh. Keep on rockin' -Jeff
You dudes is sounding good!!! Get you a picture soon!
The New Jason Ricci and New Blood Cd is OUT from Eclecto Groove!
Produced by Grammy Award winning producer John Porter, Jason Ricci & New Blood have created a visionary and sonically explosive masterpiece that is sure to shake your foundations.
"As a lover of live music, a JRNB show is absolutely exhilarating. Imagine the best virtuoso-filled "jam band" you've ever seen (think early '90's Phish, old Fleck tones, Allmans, Robert Randolph, Derek Trucks, etc.) and then double the energy and stage presence." - Blake Taylor (Writer for Cincinnati City Beat)
"Ricci links the jazz mastery of Howard Levy, with the blues precision of Jerry Portnoy and hits speeds that make John Popper look like he's standing still." - Brad Kava (Mercury News) Click here to purchase
