Reading, music, blogging, rugby, triathlon/duathlon, Norman Rockwell, Vincent Van Gogh, the artwork of my friends, dancing/clubbing, cooking/baking, throwing theme parties around food, taking baths, sleeping (it's an informal hobby of mine), and watching people.

You've Changed 44% in 10 Years
You've done a good job changing with the times, but deep down, you're still the same person.
You're clothes, job, and friends may have changed some - but it hasn't changed you.
Geez. Well, right now I prefer Dwight Yoakum, Texas country artists (like Kevin Fowler, Roger Creager, Jason Boland, Cory Morrow, etc.) and my 80's tunes. Weezer, Adult Net, Information Society, Billy Joel, The Beach Boys, Benny Goodman, Erasure, Missy Elliott (sp?), Manhattan Transfer, Patsy Cline, Terri Clark, Miranda Lambert, Waylon Pierce, Tears for Fears, Fall Out Boy, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Montgomery Gentry, UB40, Oingo Boingo, and who knows what. I'm up for a lot of stuff except rap (okay, as long as it's not "slap my ho bitch pimp like dat rollin' in my caddy" crap). I highly recommend Elias Haslanger for jazz purists and I need to buy the soundtrack to "Hoodwinked."
Movies
Oh man. You'll have to ask because there's so many! Lemme go with the following:
Heartbreak Ridge
Mind of Mencia, NCIS (Mark Harmon - hot hot HOT!!), CSI Las Vegas, Cold Case, TLC's What Not To Wear, Inside the Actor's Studio, Project Runway, Bizarre Foods, Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations, Samurai Champloo, Family Guy, Numb3rs, most of the shows on FoodTV but especially the "extreme challenges" and occasionally the Ace of Cakes.
Books
Love books, can't really tell you much right now since I have to work through textbooks instead of "pleasure" reading but I tend to keep my books and re-read them all the time. I adore the J.D. Robb "... in Death" series, the Women of the Bible stories by Orson Scott Card (even though "Stone Tables" is about Moses - it's still more or less focusing on the women intimately involved with his work), "Vietnam" by Stanley Karnow, Mercedes Lackey, Isaac Asmiov sci-fi as well as his non-scifi (though I admit I'm not smart enough for some of his non-fiction), "I Am Charlotte Simmons" by Tom Wolfe, Ann Coulter, Bill Whittle, Joseph Heller, "The Bishop..." series by Andrew Greeley, Lewis Grizzard, some of the classics (Jane Austen is still my favorite) and, when I feel like bubble gum, it's either Jude Devereaux or Julie Garwood. I'm working my way through the "Prey" series by John Sandford right now (thanks to the Mo-In-Law).
Heroes
Theodore Roosevelt, my Grandpa Pfeffer, my Ft. Meade "Bldg 9801 playgroup", the men and women of the U.S. Military, the 2003 alumni of 17 TRSS/TSUZ, my mom and Captain Sumo.

About me: Military (older model), average multisport athlete trying to work back up to olympic-distance, incredibly verbose and tries to use big words whenever possible, even out of context. Working on an English degree so I can become a librarian. A God-blessed Texan who misses BBQ, steak and Mexican food. I've discovered L&L's, Boots and Kimo's banana pancakes w/ macadamia nut sauce, the sweet tea at Dixie Grill, Ezogiku shoyu ramen and Boston's Pizza here in Luauland. I miss Gate 2 yakitori, Crazy Crepes, Arin Krin, Hokka Hokka Tei, homemade lumpia and CoCoIchibanya. Or Companion's chicken with gyoza. However, nothing beats a Doner Kebap or currywurst mit pommes at Ilya's for drunk food. I'm conservative (I'm considered a neolibertarian according to Wikipedia) but my liberal and moderate friends keep me honest. Besides, it's all about friends anyway. And macaroni and cheese. And Nordstrom's or Neiman Marcus rack sales. And Zappos.com. And Shiner Bock beer. And Larry Corzine's margaritas. Okay, I'm done. No, wait, I forgot about my husband's FANTABULOUS spaghetti, my daughter's laughter
and my son's almost frightening likeness to me.
You are 93% REAL Texan!!
High five, you're a complete Texan. People from other states should tremble in your presence because they're simply not worthy. Let them bow before you and convey their undying adoration to you while they announce their true desire to be Texan.
Who I'd like to meet: I'd like to meet the fuckup who came up with political correctness. In a dark, back alley. Also, I'd like to meet Theodore Roosevelt, Ben Stein, Isaac Asimov, Ty Pennington, Lewis Grizzard, RuPaul, Chesty Puller, Robinson Risner, Stephen Baldwin (the only blonde brother), Ed Burns, Jonah Goldberg, Queen Elizabeth I, Hiyao Miyazaki, Jackie Chan, Matt Damon, Dennis Quaid, Ted Nugent, Jimmy Stewart, Edith Head, Coco Chanel, Bob Mackey (c'mon, he dressed CHER), R. Lee Ermey, and Pierce Brosnan (who should come dressed as Remington Steele and quote old movie plots while I show him the meaning of life). I'm sure there's more, but that's it for right now.
You Are French Food
Snobby yet ubiquitous.
People act like they understand you more than they actually do.
One box came today! And DAMN! That's a lot of yarn! I'm almost afraid to see the next one.....
I kept about half, a quarter is going to knitting and the other quarter to Ryann. There were a few things in there I knew I'd never use, but I think some of the people at knitting might like.
Thank you for being such and awesome friend over the years.I love you and think you are awesome! Let's get ready and remember to STRAP IT ON for the new year. Much love and Merry Christmas!center> find and share recovery images at anonymousspace. com..
