Kindred Sprits & Unheard Cries” is VERY good. From the beginning, the music arrangements for each song are
consistent. I could hear and feel the multitude of flavors this band has, from the beginning to the end. “Stay with
me.” About a week ago, I got to listen to the world that surrounds Juan, Max, Mike, Chas, and Jeff from Tucson,
Arizona. “Intro” and the first song “ A way of life,” blend together nicely to start the CD rocking out. “I started rocking
out. “
Soon follows: “Aggravated assault,” “Just can’t win,” “Carry on strong,” “No such thing,” “Walk of Life*,” “ Drunken
phase,” “You made me,” “ Working away,” “ Just a love too true,” “ Goodbye for now,” and “ Violence on our
minds*.” The * are covers songs. The last song about “the dick” is awesome. Come to San Diego!
These songs and music are heart-felt and tight. I could feel the writer(s) have seen long days of being knocked
around. I heard that sentiment especially in “Just can’t win.” The voice of a sweet siren sings a rendition of
“Amazing grace” just before “You made me” plays. “You made me” sings of a cherished soul filled with words of
gratitude and loss. The many dedications on the booklet introduce the band as individuals.
The shit you all sang about would make me kick the dog, then give the mutt a big hug. Luckily, I have a cat.
B.C.C’s “Kindred Sprits & Unheard Cries” is good listening punk rock.
Blue Collar Criminals is a band pounding out the hard sounds of the street in the hot, almost unbearable desert of Tucson, Az. We're a band of stubborn pricks who got together from a bunch local bands being Tempers Flare, Dirt Eater, Waking Dead, and the ashes of Last Laugh. We play street punk/ oi with an honest true sound that you can feel its intensity the moment you hear it. We're influenced mainly by punk, oi, and hardcore from all around the world. We don't pussy foot around certain topics or sing about madeup bullshit stories. We sing about our lives and our struggles, cause another days another dollar and usually another pain in the ass. So we hope you like what you hear and if not fuck ya anyway.
