Joni Buffalohead-Lead Vocal:

[Bdewakantowan/Dakota] Co-founder and singer-songwriter, Joni got her start in music as a conga and bongos player. She quickly developed an interest in vocals and took off from there. The Bluedog band was founded to give Joni the opportunity to be lead vocalist in a blues rock band.
Eric Buffalohead-Guitar:
[Ponca] Co-founder and lead guitarist, Eric has been playing in bands for over twenty years. In that time he has covered various categories of music including; classic rock, oldies, blues, country and reggae. His real love is in the genre of blues and the Bluedog band has been his chance to play the music that is in his heart.
Tom Suess-Bass:
Tom's solid bass playing and backing vocals are a key element to the bluedog sound. Tom brings years of experience playing in multiple genres of music.
Chuck Davis-Conga/Bongos and Timbales:
[Lakota] Congas and Bongos, Chuck joined Bluedog after a long stint of touring nationally with Brule. Chuck has had a long career in music that has taken him around the United States. His playing abilities add new dimensions to the Bluedog sound.
Bob Simons-Drums:
[Mdewakantonwan/Sisseton Dakota] Bob is the newest member of the Bluedog Band. Along with over 30 years experience on the drums, Bob brings to the table a plethora of musical styles, including Rock, Fusion, Funk, R&B and Swing. But it wasn't until playing a gig with The Legendary Blues Band (Muddy Waters' backing band) back in 1986 that Bob became a true disciple of the Blues. Bob's thunderous groove and 'windy' interpretation of the Bluedog sound has brought the band's music into a new dimension."
 Alexandra Buffalohead-Backing Vocals, Keyboard:
[Bdewakantowan/Dakota] Alex is the youngest addition to the Bluedog lineup. The daughter of lead vocalist Joni and lead guitarist Eric, Alex has the ability to emulate her mothers voice exactly. She has provided well rounded backing vocals and has recently put years of piano lesson to use by playing keyboard on some songs.
Jimmy Corbett-Blues Harp:
[Lakota] Jimmys blues harp adds an essential blues element to the Bluedog sound. Jimmy sat in with the band at Mole Lake in August of 2005 and has been a guest serval times. |
