I write song better then I do bios. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. The Blue Eyed Goodbyes’ songs are a tour of heartfelt heartbreak. Front woman, Kathryn Humphrey, weaves captivating narratives, with a soulful and truly unique voice, that illustrate the odd beauty in recognizing one’s losses. These narratives are steeped in well-crafted metaphors that describe lovers and traditions long since lost, yet she recounts them with a straightforward honesty that is rarely witnessed. The Blue Eyed Goodbyes’ songs can best be described as southern gothic. The sound is derived from a variety of stylistic influences that are paired with the endemic darkness inherent to southern life. Kathryn began this band in the spring of 2009 and assembled a number of seasoned musicians who kindly graced her with their musical presence. The current lineup consists of drummer/backing vocalist Eric Young, bassist Steve McPeeks, lead guitarist Joseph Lazzari, and lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist Kathryn Humphrey. -

What's up The Blue Eyed Goodbyes? I relentlessly desire cotton candy lollipops. The music that flows from your instruments overwhelms me with creativity. So charmingly silky, your skin is like a teardrop on a popsickle. You have not yet reached the height of your creativity. The elves that play in the toasters wash their drum sticks in honey and sing strikingly colored anthems in perfect harmonious pleasure. Your beauty is equal to the smoothness of a polished gem. May you be as vivid as your hallucinations. How it passes there and back again like a tear drop glistening in moonlight. I sense wild vapors of sweet champagne in your larynx. In your absence I am forced into finding other forms of amusement while thinking about you. Entranced by the sweet harmony of your lips, I gaze beyond reason to find the oasis of your brilliant soul. You breath as delicately as vapors flowing towards an attractive flame. The expanse of your beauty is a void no universe could ever fill. In your presence even my shadow acquires the sensation of touch.
