Bluefunk Rhythm and Blues Club is widely regarded as one of the best clubs of it’s type in the north west if not the whole of the UK. With a mission to promote the best live performers on both the local, national and international scene, whoever it is that is playing you are guaranteed a performance from the top drawer. Our principal venue is the WMC, Park Lane, Poynton although we can and do promote elsewhere, indeed anywhere that wants us to. The WMC is a friendly welcoming place with good ales (cheap) and a superb concert room, in fact the best venue of it’s size for miles.
Although the club is rooted in the blues we are not stuck there and will often do something completely different. The only rigid criteria being that it has to be good, very good.
Bluefunk is not a commercial venture, it is run by musicians for musicians and fans of grown up music. We are proud of what we do and why we do it. Come and join us sometime and we guarantee you will want to return.
