    2009 bluegrass bands & helping hands “a benefit concert to help north georgia neighbors devastated by job loss” Tickets will be available at the gate, but advance tickets are strongly encouraged. In case of rain the concert will be held at the Recreation Place, First Presbyterian church in Dalton, Georgia. For more information or purchase tickets: www.BluegrassBandsHelpingHands.com or email BluegrassBandsHelpingHands@gmail.com A great evening of music and fun is planned for Saturday September 26, 2009, when the Grammy nominated and IBMA, CMA award winning band Mountain Heart performs at Dalton’s Heritage Point Park. Also performing - The Dixie Bee-Liners, Dismembered Tennesseans, Spatial Effects and Steel String Session. The public is invited to bring their lawn chairs, blankets and enjoy the music with other “helping hands”. Adult advance tickets are available with a $15 donation. Students $5.00 and Children under 12 yrs no donation is required. Tickets can be picked up at the gate on the day of the concert. Please bring your receipt. Donations from the concert will benefit DOC-UP a 501 (C) charitable organization. Discounted group tickets (minimum 10)are available to corporate donors.

We are looking for a presenting and a gate sponsor for our event. Please contact me if you or your company may be interested in sponsoring this event for in-kind advertising.

    Hi Folks, Im Paul the Event Coordinator for the benefit concert. Im so touched by everyone's excitement and willingness to help....especially musicians. We have over 15 bands/musicians that have donated a track to our compilation cd. The cd will be used to promote our benefit and another source of revenue for our charity DOC-UP.


    DOC-UP is the Dalton Organization of Churches United for People a 501 c organization which helps families with rent/utilities and emergency referals to food banks.


    Dalton Ga is the Carpet Capital of the World with the flooring industry being the largest employers in the State. The economic downturn has really hurt the flooring industry and therefore many proud Georgia families are seeking help who've never asked for help, but have always given a "helping hand".


    We are looking for 1000 people or more to come out on September 26th to Heritage Point park in Dalton, GA for night of great music and fun. All proceeds go to DOC-UP. Please join us bluegrass bands & helping hands.
