About me:
The BlueGreen exhibit aims to bring the realities of environmental issues to light through visual communications. Many times, those working in the commercial arts fields work to promote businesses, services, and products that contribute to the deterioration of the environment. BlueGreen’s goal is to use those designers/commercial artists’ talents for the opposite: to promote the preservation and salvation of our planet’s natural environments, resources, and species, to bring to light all the anti-environmental activities of companies, organizations and government, and to educate on alternative and better technologies, materials, and practices to save the environment. BlueGreen will also take an active role in its agenda by donating portions of its art sales to environmental causes, as well as setting up a donation drive during the show. BlueGreen will also reach out to collaborate with environmental organizations and to bring as much media attention possible to the show and its mission.
Who I'd like to meet: People who love Earth & Design.
a lot of domestic animals and wildlife have been displaced and injured during the fires, so if you'd like to help out, there are a few different places that could really use the funds:
the red cross has been organizing a lot of excellent relief efforts in the area for families.
if you can't make a monetary donation, consider using the search engine goodsearch to search the internet -- a penny goes to the non-profit of your choice everytime you search (and there is no limit to how many searches you can do a day) and if we all do it, it can really add up. (don't forget to select your default non-profit before searching)

NFIA presents: "Independent earth" A second look... with 50 artists in Long Beach, California
The NFIA invite you to celebrate its arrival in Long Beach. The National Foundation of Independent Artists is local Non-profit organization created to establish and maintain a network of resources for artists by artists. These resources include, a working gallery as a base of operation, an already established link to city and private art functions, such as participation in private " invite only" shows, as well as city sponsored events. We also regulary meet to discuss issues pertaining to the artist role in society. We also share technique and sales initiatives. "Independent Earth A second look" is a joint venture between the NFIA and the BlueGreen exhibit combining to display the efforts over 50 different locally and internationally known artists. The BlueGreen exhibit aims to bring the realities of environmental issues to light through visual communications.
