blue haiku
"Chocolate canyon chamber folk music" is how one Louisiana radio station describes blue haiku’s evocative songs. The audience is drawn into a vibrant sonic landscape, with panoramic stories which embrace sandstone canyons, coyotes, tree frogs, desert rain and a Venezuelan woman stirring chocolate with a wooden spoon.
blue haiku's first CD, heat beneath the sand, was called "fascinating, fresh and engrossing" by Sing Out! Magazine
and received rave reviews from radio stations all across the country from California ("Unique and distinctive") to New Jersey ("A fabulous flow to the music and soundscape producing memories of love and longing"), and Pennsylvania ("Beautiful") to Florida ("intellectually refreshing"). blue haiku has been featured in the Salt Lake Tribune, Salt Lake Magazine and many other publications.
