Blue Horizon Bluegrass Band *****************
Members*****************
************Joe Doucette************ –– Joe is from the small village of Chignecto Nova Scotia. Joe is twenty-two years old and has been playing the dobro for five years. Joe was introduced to a dobro when he was at an event where dobro player Alan Robichaud was. Alan showed him a few things then Joe was off to work on his skills with this new instrument. Joe was nominated for dobro player of the year at the 2005, 2006 and is now the 2007 "Dobro Player of the Year" by the Eastern Canada Bluegrass Music Awards. Joe sings lead vocals, harmony and also plays the guitar. Not only is Joe a sweetheart, but he is presently dating a little sweetheart herself who resides in Maccan, NS. Stacey White brings a lot of fun to our musical events and we all love her so much. Mary and Jessie met "Joevon" or "Dobro-Joe" at the Rollo-Bay Bluegrass Festival in 2003. The band just wouldn't be the same without him.
*****************Jessie Haley***************** –– Jessie is from Amherst Nova Scotia. Jessie started playing the mandolin at the age of twelve and has been singing for as long as she can remember. Jessie sings lead vocals and also enjoys playing the guitar. Proud to be playing her Daddies old "A Style" Washburn Mandolin, she has mastered many old timey tunes and diddies and has developed a stong solid "chop" on the mandolin to go along with the hard driving bluegrass band.
Jessie has recorded one of her own origional songs entitled "My Mother Marjorie" which can be found on the "No More Tears" album, and has just recorded another one of her own pieces entitled "The Cumberland County Train" which was release in December 2007 on the "No Stoppin' Now" album.
************Mary Haley************ –– Mary is from Amherst Nova Scotia. Mary purchased her first bass fiddle in 2003 and has now become one of the finest female bass players around the Maritimes. Mary sings lead and harmony vocals and also enjoys playing the guitar. Mary thoroughly enjoys playing her bass, and has very much fun doing so. Bluegrass Music is one of Mary's passions. She just can't live without it. Mary also plays a huge roll in booking great events for the band and keeps the band extremely organized. Thank you Mary for all your hard work. Without you who knows where we'd be?
*******************Larry Rushton***************** –– Larry is from Amherst Nova Scotia. Larry attended his first bluegrass festival at the age of twelve and has been hooked ever since. Invited to the event by Alan Robichaud, of the Rustic Harmony Bluegrass Band, Larry recolects that this was the time he started his love for bluegrass music. Over the years Larry has played a solid guitar and has taught himself how to play a mean five string banjo. Larry also plays mandolin and dobro. He gets even more credit for his exceptional "bluegrass voice". Everyone loves it!!
*****************Michael Allain***************** -- Michael is origionally from Boutouche NB, but now resides in Dieppe NB. Michael plays the flat-top guitar with stong rythem and drive. His leads and licks on the guitar are second to none. Michael is a huge fan of Tony Rice, and it shows. He likes the music being played done to a perfection. Seen and heard on stage live, Michaels work on the guitar is a sure crowd pleaser.

I really enjoyed meeting you all at the Basin Bluegrass Festival last weekend. Your cd is great--I haven't stopped listening to it. I told the festival organizers that I hope they ask you back next year and I know all my family did too---so hopefully we'll see you then! Your friend, Kelly Kelly
Can you believe it? We're finally taking pre-release orders on RoseBud Blue's debut album, "Depending on the Glass"! ...
