Blue Is Cold is a southeastern Washington trio that plays original American music (Alt.Country - Americana - Roots Rock) a listener can't pigeon-hole into any specific genre. Intertwining elements of country, punk, and sadness, Blue Is Cold pulls it off with real integrity.
What really define Blue Is Cold's live performances are the long, driving melodies in John Reed's bass. His comfortable thumping grooves mix with Dean Kramer's uproarious drums to accentuate what a rhythm section is all about. This leaves guitarist Joe Horn free to do his amazing flat-picking style with a lot of palm muting in a country/hard rock/upbeat rockabilly feel. with lots of 16th, 32nd, and 64th notes. It's really fast at times. Another defining Blue Is Cold trait is their effortless and unexpected time signature shifts. Combining elements of humor, sorrow, and satire, Joe Horn's voice is the only sound that can hush the forceful rhythms and pulsing behind him. He leads a trio reinterpreting the world with colliding genres and mixed tempos, playing with a truly open and honest style.

Did you guys get a chance to see the band from Nashville? They are on a tour called "The Ten Out Of Tenn Tour" and I saw that they came to Kenwick... we saw them in Boise and they were great! Anywho my son loves Disco Fever he was dancing & rocking out! hope you guys are doing wonderful! Joe I miss you and your the shit!
