The Blue Lion Project is a local Orange County band with Rebecca Vertson on vocals, Art “Mr. GK” Partida on guitar, Paul Vandervalk on bass, and Jon Krueger on Drums. The Ultimate Party Rock Band, Blue Lion Project’s music style is edgy alternative-rock. A diverse set list includes numerous original songs as well as clever covers from Van Halen to No Doubt to The Beatles.
With Rebecca on vocals, the BLP has an original vocal sound reminiscent of Gwen Stefani with a harder edge. Art’s immense guitar talent is on display and his solos have been called an exhilarating roller coaster ride. On bass, Paul lays down the rhythmic foundation and backbone for the songs. Jon’s enthusiasm and expertise on the drums keeps the audience alert with titillating rhythmic changes.
