About Blue Lizard Studio
Blue Lizard Studio is a private project studio based in Cleethorpes, North East Lincolnshire, offering professional quality sound recording, editing, mixing and pre-mastering services to clients in the surrounding area. BLS's dedication to quality and service is demonstrated in its choice of the best studio equipment in the area and the use of a comprehensive range of recording and mixing techniques, all at very reasonable rates.

BLS is operated from a compact yet highly capable project studio, consisting of a control room and recording booth (all soundproofed and acoustically treated). The studio is ideal for vocal recording and instrumental overdubs, with drum kit or ensemble recording sessions carried out in a larger nearby venue using a comprehensive 24-track location recording rig. The resulting multi-tracks can then be transferred to the studio for further overdubs, editing and mixing.

BLS caters for a wide range of projects including:

- Detailed audio editing & mixing (inc. full automation, pitch correction, guitar re-amping, drum sample replacement etc.)
- Pre-mastering & testing of CD masters
If you have existing (raw) multi-track recordings, a MIX FIX service gives you the opportunity to get your material mixed through some great EQ's, dynamics and an analogue summing buss - ideal for giving your home recorded tracks a professional treatment

Gear & Techie Stuff
BLS is a hybrid studio, pairing up the best aspects of digital audio with premium analogue outboard hardware. This allows tracks to be captured through a selection of industry standard valve/solid-state preamps and DI's; to be edited, mixed and automated in close detail and then output through an analogue summing and 2-buss processing path.

For studio overdubs, in-house valve guitar amplification is by Laney (GH50L) and Orange (Tiny Terror) with DI options by Tech 21 (PSA-1) and Yamaha (DG), plus a range of popular stomp boxes (Boss, Digitech, Dunlop, Ibanez, Morley, MXR). The studio synth is a Yamaha Motif ES6.
Drum recording/ensemble recordings require tracking at the larger 'live' room - bands should provide their own backline for such sessions.
