Influences
Hmm now where would we begin...its been a long time in the making so maybe it would be easier to say Too many to mention but there are a lot of them and they all deserve credit where it's due. So we thank you.
Sounds Like
We sound like no other band. We groove like no other band. We rock like no other band. We are blue mojo and that is what we do. Come and see us sometime and then you'll understand.
We are always popular with 'real' music fans and get comments like:
"Get wasted My youthful mantra.
Really guys you sound great. I like the voice and guitar together. Both very distinctive"
"the singing i like as well it doesn't remind me of anything i can yet think of which also is a good thing you sound like you and that some times is the hardest thing to pull off "originality" something even some great bands lack."
" The drummer knows how to provide the power with heavily compressed drums that cause that "pow" affect to burst in your ears.
I believe blue mojo has a hit hear, but I think they are already aware of that."
How BLUE MOJO were born
Dave Birch (bass/backing vox) had previously been in a number of bands including 'The Winders' who supported such bands as the legendary 'Motorhead' on their first UK tour. He then played bass with '720' who supported 'Black Sabbath' on the 'Mob Rules Tour' with guitarists Dave 'Bucket' Colwell, (Bad Company etc) and Andy Barnet, (FM). Then, having met Phil Lewis (LA Guns) they put together 'The New Torpedos' as '720' and Phil's band 'Girl' had both recently split. The band was received very well and went from strength to strength building an exceptional reputation around the country.
When Phil went to start the 'LA Guns', new recruit Misty was brought in on vocals as well as old '720' band mates Dave 'Bucket' Colwell and Andy Barnet. The band appeared on Channel 4 TV show ECT' (when a punter at the front grabbed Misty's skirt on live TV and pulled it off!). 'The Torpedos' played gigs all over the UK with rave reviews.
Having spent several years on the management side, Dave decided to blow the dust off the bass and got in touch with singer Simon Rimmer who had been singing with 'The Local Heros'. They formed 'The Screemin Ab-Dabs' playing a lot of gigs in London and the Home Counties
After various line-up changes they met Christian Arcucci (Guitar). They then decided to write their own material and at the same time brought in new drummer Rudy DeGiorgio. Rudy studied percussion at 'The Academy of Modern Music' in Milan, and had played with Christian back home in Italy. There band 'Gran'ma Monkey' were very popular in Italy, touring all over the country and released a CD 'Roots' which sold successfully.
Blue Mojo was born. The band have done extensive live shows and have currently released two CD's.

YOU CAN BUY OUR MUSIC FROM HERE, JUST A SMALL 3 SQUIDS FOR A GREAT EP!!
Described as: 'like Soulfly if Trent Reznor were part of the band,' their debut album "There's No Profit in Truth", mixes the pent up frustration of acts such as Rage Against The Machine with the raging, highly charged riffs of classic Machine Head. Good, honest, politically aware and highly charged Metal at its best...
LOL this is crazy! And it only works if you have Internet Explorer (I think). You have to go to www . retwistic . com (no spaces) and then after it loads you need to hit the back button or else the funny video won't come up. If that doesn't work then hit the forward button instead.
Just to let you know I've launched a new website: www.StressFreePrint.co.uk. If you get a sec, please take a look around and let me know what you think. As always, give me a shout if you need any leaflets, flyers or posters to promote your gigs. Hope I can help you out sometime.
Take care and keep up the good work, Tom.
P.S. Cheers for your friendship. As a thank you, enter voucher code 'myspace' when ordering leaflet printing, flyer printing or poster printing and I'll knock 15 quid off the cost!

Hey Kerry! Nice to hear from you, it's been ages! Yeah I suppose the sound has changed a fair bit since we saw you last. We've been recording an album over the last few months, it should be finished by Spring and hopefully we'll have someone to release it. The live show has changed too, there are 7 of us now, with a bit of brass and some strings! There's a few album samplers on our Last. fm site if you want to check them out. How're you?? x
Yes we're still alive and well and 2009 is looking like being The Eruptors busiest year so far as far as releasing music goes.
I heard Paul was working on some new music but that it wasn't very much like 720/torps so I figure it is a different project rather than a reunion.
But an actual reunion with original line-ups including uncle Dave would be great! Ian in America is remastering their old recordings so we should try and push for it :) A double CD anthology + comeback gigs at the 80s rock/nwobhm reunion festivals. Lets petition for it!
Happy New Year (a bit late I know... sorry!) Cheers for your friendship in 2008. All the best for 09. As always, let me know if I can help you out with any leaflets, flyers or posters to promote your gigs. Heya Kerry!!! How're you? Really good to hear from you. Things have been pretty crazy recently, loads of new music written and recorded. Our drummer Chris is calling it a day with us so we're recruiting a new drummer and have also added a couple of other members to play keyboards/strings and ukulele etc. The new stuff is a mix of poppy uptempo stuff mixed with the chilled out orchestral songs we've got. Hope you'll like it, new recordings will be coming out this month. How's Kent?? Enjoying yourself? Love from Gray & the boys xxx
