Bryan Michael Fischer.
The power of Howlin Wolf, the soul of David Clayton-Thomas, the energy of David Lee Roth, the smoky smoothness of Marvin Gaye, and yet a voice all his own! Originally from Petoskey, MI, Bryan has over 20 years experience as a lead singer/front man. He worked for almost 17 years with the award winning Northern Michigan band Mojo & the Boogieman (an International Blues Challenge finalist in 2003, and semi-finalist in 2007) and his last project was Soul Shine.
Bryan started his singing career as a rocker, found the blues, and loves old school R&B a la Motown and Stax/Volt. Put him in a I-IV-V groove, and he can jam for hours! This is one guy that can put on a high-energy show with great charisma and charm. If they can play it, the Boogieman can sing it!

The Blue Moon Blues Band is a crowd favorite at many of West Michigan's live venues as well as most of the regional Blues Festivals. The Blue Moon Blues Band is composed of six West Michigan veteran musicians of varied musical backgrounds who have found common ground in the Blues. These musicians have a particular fondness for creating original music influenced by the blues as well as performing for live audiences.
Over the last several years, the Blue Moon Blues Band has had the pleasure of opening for and sharing the stage with well-known national acts, including Hubert Sumlin, Lonnie Brooks, Jimmy Johnson, The Chicago Rhythm & Blues Kings, Sapphire, Bernard Allison, Tommy Castro, Larry McRay, Lil Ed, and Son Seals.
Spine-tingling harmonies, boundless energy and the musicianship of The Blue Moon Blues Band mix Saturday night’s roadhouse gut bucket blues with soulful harmonies and foot stomping R&B.
Rooted in blues, R&B and soul, The Blue Moon Blues Band sound is all their own.
Their harmonies are showcased by their ability to perform low-down roadhouse blues, deep soul, R&B and pure pop—all in one set.
This joyous, foot-stomping experience is what makes the Blue Moon Blues Band memorable and in demand.
As incredible as they are as interpreters, The Blues Moon Blues Band members are equally talented songwriters. The band takes true-life stories, deep feelings, heartbreak and humor to create songs that are personal and moving. With one foot firmly planted in the blues, the band is known to push at well established boundaries to create a sound all their own.
Since they formed in 2000, the band has worked virtually non-stop performing at most of the premier blues clubs and festivals in West Michigan.
Alligator records and artist management president, Bruce Iglaur, reviewed the Blue Moon Blues Band 2007 CD: "Cool, Cool River on December 1, 2007.
* Tasteful vocals with some lounge feel. Very enjoyable.
* Harp is tasteful and well executed.
* Musicianship is very good, the grooves are tight and the production is very professional.
* I find your approach well done and urbane.
* Very confident performance.
"I have to say that I'm very impressed by the musicianship in the whole band, including the guest keyboard player. I'm sure I'd enjoy seeing the band live, as everyone plays so well. And, believe me, I'm not easy with complements”.
The bands third CD “Cool, Cool River” released in 2007, found The Blue Moon Blues Band receiving even more attention. With their deeply soulful singing, impressive harmonies and unsurpassed musicianship, The Blue Moon Blues Band won a Grand Rapids based WYCE radio “Jammie” for best local blues album debut!
In 2008 Blue Moon released their fourth CD "Live at Billy's". The music was recorded on location in April and July of 2008 at Billy's Lounge in Grand Rapids by the Mackinaw Harvest Music Group's, Michael Crittendon.
