Blue Mountain se forma en Sevilla a finales del verano de 2002 con el único objetivo de divertirse.
La primera formación es de quinteto con musicos de gran experiencia en diferentes estilos
y como vínculo común, la afición por la música Bluegrass.
Blue Mountain han tenido como intervenciones más notorias los conciertos
en el World of Bluegrass IBMA Fan Fest y EBMA Internacional Suite en Nashville (Tennessee, EE.UU.),
donde la banda compartió escenario con artistas tales como Alison Krauss, Del McCoury Band, Doyle Lawson
o Ricky Skaggs por nombrar algunos, Embajada de los EE.UU. (Lisboa, Portugal),
Festival Internacional de Música Étnica de Chiclana (Cádiz), Sevilla Festival de Folk,
Música en los Palacios de Ecija, la Musicosta gira en la provincia de Huelva,
Musica en la Provincia gira oficial patrocinada por Diputación de Sevilla y en directo en el Castillo de Guardias Viejas
Almería). En Enero de 2005 somos nombrados por CMA-España, Mejor banda nacional de 2004.
El sonido de la banda, sin duda, puede ser definido como Bluegrass con un repertorio basado en una exquisita colección
de clásicos, así como exquisítas versiones de Pink Floyd, Jimmy Hendrix, Bob Dylan o AC / DC hechas al estilo de los viejos maestros.

Blue Mountain form in Seville (Spain) by the end of summer of 2002 with the only ambition of having fun. The first line-up featured five experienced musicians with a background on different styles and a common love for Bluegrass music. Blue Mountain have had since notorious appearances in the IBMA World of Bluegrass Fan Fest and EBMA International Suite in Nashville (Tennessee, USA) where the band shared stage with such artists as Alison Krauss, Del McCoury Band, Doyle Lawson or Ricky Skaggs to name a few, the US Embassy (Lisbon, Portugal), International Ethnic Music Festival of Chiclana (Cádiz), Seville Folk Festival, Musica en los Palacios de Ecija, the Musicosta tour in Huelva province, the Musica en la Provincia official tour sponsored by the Regional Government of Sevilla province and Live at the Guardias Viejas Castle (Almeria). In january 2005 CMA-Spain awards Blue Mountain Best Country Music Artist/Band of Spain 2004. The sound of the band can undoubtedly be defined as Bluegrass with a repertoire built on an exquisite collection of bluegrass classics as well as breath-taking country covers of Pink Floyd, Jimmy Hendrix, Bob Dylan or AC/DC.
