...Art. From writing to cooking, I love art.
Books.
Music
...I enjoy lyrics more than the beat sometimes. Give me great lyrics and I don't care what genre.
Movies
...Mostly comedies--I like to keep things upbeat. I do enjoy a great mystery and romantic movies slip by the radar and impress me. ;)
Some action flicks are cool--especially foreign ones.
Television
...When I get a chance to watch television, I get a good laugh from sitcoms.
Def Poetry is one of my favs.
Oldies but goodies: Friends, Seinfeld, Everybody Loves Raymond.
Books
...Gosh...where to begin?
Heroes
...The English teachers that figuratively stuck their foots up my ass and pushed me to be consistent and consistently good at writing.
Great writers are my heroes.
Hello, I am B. O'Dwyer. I currently reside in Georgia, but I travel quite a bit. I am a writer...though this dull section may lead you to believe otherwise.
Who I'd like to meet: MAYA ANGELOU, and some of the lovely people I have had the pleasure to interact with here on Myspace. They are on my Top Friends List.
I would like to meet people who can appreciate the beauty and power behind words. I would like to meet people willing to become completely vulnerable to the wonderful world of a book--even if it's only for a little while. :)
Most importantly, I would like to meet people with passion and a hunger for more in life.
And we should consider every day lost on which we have not danced at least once. And we should call every truth false which was not accompanied by at least one laugh. -- Friedrich Nietzsche
How is it they live in such harmony the billions of stars - when most men can barely go a minute without declaring war in their minds about someone they know. -- Saint Thomas Aquinas
“Regard your good name as the richest jewel you can possibly be possessed of - for credit is like fire; when once you have kindled it you may easily preserve it, but if you once extinguish it, you will find it an arduous task to rekindle it again. The way to gain a good reputation is to endeavor to be what you desire to appear.” -- Socrates
"If you would be a real seeker after truth, it is necessary that at least once in your life you doubt, as far as possible, all things." -- Rene Descartes
