Isaiah 53:3 He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
The church has many different ministries to offer to a variety of needs, from Girl Talk for young girls to Joyland, our staffed nursery for Sunday morning worship. Sunday, there is 9:45 Sunday School for ages 2 and UP, and Sunday worhsip begins at 11 am. Plus, there is much more to offer.
We are a group of young adults who get together on Wednesday nights to have a fun and informal Bible study. Our group is a bit above the "Youth" group, but, not old enough to be considered a "Dust-Bucket". We usually watch part of a DVD series, and then there is time for open discussion. The group is facilitated by Pastor Laurie Jayne.
We try to keep it as informal as possible... people bring snacks, stories of their day (great venting time), their children, boyfriend, whatever... We often have snacks, and often there is at least one little mascot to the group.
This is meant to be a relaxed time in God's Word. People in the group need not be members of our church, or affiliation. The doors are open to anyone interested in, and hungry to hear about the Lord.
We also try to get together for other events to just get out and have a nice time. Most recently, we went to see Fireproof... and, now, we all know not to take Brian to the movies!
Who I'd like to meet: ANYONE who is interested in coming out on a Wednesday night from 7:00 - 8:00. (Clarks' Green Assembly of God on S. Abington Rd - right across from CVS.) And, if you have children, there are grops available (similar to Scouts, but w/Christian teachings) for ages 3 and up. If you have a little one (or 2), bring them into our group. They're more than welcome.
Jan. 7th we are starting a new series called "Discovering God's Will" it is an 8 week series that I'm very excited about!! Come join us and see that God is mindful of YOU!!!
