Blue Prostitutes is a collaboration between Vinnie Paternostro (Temple of Bon Matin/Go Gun/Total System Failure), Sam Lohman (Cash Slave Clique/Nimrod/36/Nik Turner), Jason LaFarge (Seizures Palace Recording/Pineal Ventana), Aaron Moore (Volcano the Bear/Amolvacy), & J Reeve (Temple of Bon Matin/Go Gun/Total System Failure) with appearances by Steve Mackay (The Stooges/Violent Femmes/Commander Cody). The band came together haphazardly in January of 2007 as a one off project. It quickly became apparent that the experimentation was worth pursuing despite the obstacles of the busy schedules of all involved. A handful of live performances followed in VA, DC, as well as a series of gigs in NYC, and a radio broadcast now archived on WFMU. The band is dedicated to an aggressive live performance, sonic improvisations, and welcomes the challenge to leave behind destruction venue after venue. Currently the project is sorting through a series of recordings for upcoming release as well as performing in part or as a whole in the NYC area.
