The bio for this myspace is pretty short but the bio of the band mates are not. Choco (guitar) and Justin (vocals/guitar) came together as friends and started making wicked tunes. Shortly after, we found Aaron (drums) and Nic (bass). Basically, I left my other band (myspace/coloursurround) to pursue a different musical direction, and in addition to that, singing again. We now have a demo, which will be released on CD in the near future. We feel like the music has to match the quality of the lyrics, so we try our best to put our heads together and slam down some full on expressive tone. The lyrics are also all about feeling and expressing yourself from deep within which we feel is something the world still needs no matter how many honest bands are doing it. It's a developing sound, and we feel we're always getting closer to what we want. You can never go wrong doing it this way... Justin
Le groupe Blue Reverb est né en 2007 à Ottawa par la rencontre de deux guitaristes, Justin et Choco. Avec l'intention d'en faire un projet sérieux, ils se sont graduellement entourés d'autres musiciens, dont Aaron à la batterie et Nic à la basse. Avec des effets riches en distortion, en chorus et en autres modulations de cordes, la musique s'articule sur des tempos lents de style shoegaze. Les textes, à saveur personnelle, se superposent aux airs et ajoutent une profondeur introspective. Le concept musical de Blue Reverb repose sur l'expression artistique et la recherche de textures musicales. Une première maquette (demo) de 3 chansons a été réalisée en 2007, tandis que le groupe continue de composer et de faire des spectacles.
