About me:

I'm an artist and I believe that music can save the world someday. I sing and play guitar(electric and acoustic. I've been playing since december of 1990, I'll never forget that day when my mom decided to surprise me with an advanced Christmas present by givin me money to buy myself an electric guitar. My life hasn't been the same ever since. Before I got interested in music I was always the shy guy in the gang. Most of the time I would say something really stupid and inappropriate. Then my friends would just say " oh ignore jon, he's kinda weird..but he's a nice guy"LOL I was a keyboardist(pianist) before I learned how to play the guitar so that helped me a lot in pursuing my art. People think I'm crazy for being so addicted to the guitar, spending as much as 10 hrs a day just practicing. I call it passion, like being in love--which i find myself being at fault...i become overeager when pursuing a romantic relationship. I guess we all do that at least once in our lifetime. Music is my life, but my life is not completely music. I enjoy takin' walks on the beach, long quiet times just reading...peace and tranquility. I also love watchin other bands, havin a few beers with friends. Rockband and Guitar Hero. PS2, coming soon to a hdtv near you....i'll be gettin my PS3 ...soon I love Jimi Hendrix and SRV! I pretty much spend my days at home, just trying to write new music. Maybe someday other people will get to hear it. I used to play guitar for the ff. bands: Blue Rats, Introvoys, Skin and First Circle all popular filipino bands. I now play guitar and occasionally sing for a band called Common Ground--a vegas based outfit specializing in RnB, Pop, dance/disco and occasionally venturing into rock, reggae and blues I'm not as shy as I used to be as now I enjoy meeting new people. It's all so interesting, exciting and new to me, coming from the other side of the world to try to make it big here in the U.S. of A. I love eating. japanese and chinese cuisine. Dumpling galore, gyoza! sushi! beef bowls! chicken bowls! Bento! oodles and oodles of noodles! I consider pasta as one of the basic food groups. along with cheeseburgers, i love cheeseburgers! people hate me coz i still manage to remain thin even with all the food i've been indulging in. what can i say? I'm Blessed! In more ways than one! "it don't matter to where you come from, what matters to me is what you are today"
