Bluesmith
Based out of Welwyn Garden City, Herts, Bluesmith is a rock and roll band aiming to
create kick ass, punchy, rock and roll music that you can't get enough of. Fronted by
James Hatherill and his right hand man Andrew Laval, and backed by Lewis Mansi and
Gandy McCarroll.
Born in January 2008, the band has been going strong for eighteen months, with no sign
of stopping any time soon. In that time Bluesmith has played many different places and
rocked many different audiences, notably The Adders 2008 (The Alban Arena), The
Hertford Marquee, Letchworth's The Plinston Hall, Hitchin's latest pub The Venue, and most
recently Welwyn's The Steamer, with many others between.
Inspiration for the band and it’s material comes from various legendary rock and roll
artists, including The Beatles, Oasis, The Stones, The Who and The Kinks, all of which are
evident in the band's presence and style, and of course music, and with their ever
expanding collection of kick ass original rock and roll tunes, and the rock and roll style to
match, the band's aim is to bring rock and roll back into the spotlight once again.
