Music; literature; FELINES, especially Jungle Cat Hybrids and Siamese; birding; gardening; Eastern philosophy; ethnic foods (e.g., Indian, Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, Australian -- what would life be without Vegemite and Tim Tams?); European Klassik Rock and Radio Caroline, the very finest stations in the known universe. Water, coffee, and tea purist! Caffeine is the foundation of the food pyramid.
Music
I live, sleep, and breathe music. That my taste is eclectic is an understatement. As both a classically trained musician specializing in theory and an alumna of Berklee College of Music, I enjoy the analysis of sound.
Although I'm not comfortable creating a subjective list of music I enjoy, a few musicians deserve mention for very random reasons: Steve Thorne, James Wilsey, Kathie Touin, Erik Satie, David Arnson, Tim Burness, Nadia Boulanger, Martin Orford, Tony Carey, Peter Himmelman, Guy Manning, GishA, Julien, Christina Pollmann, Joe Weninghoff, Hanspeter Hess, Frédéric Marcheschi, and TMQE.
My musical knowledge grew exponentially under the influence of the late Rob Leighton, the genius behind the "Imagination" program on Radio Caroline. Rob's spirit and passion for music overlooked by others will live on in my heart.
NOTE FROM PEACE COMPANY: "Since some people in poor countries cannot read without prescription or reading glasses, for every song of ours you download, you will be supplying a pair of glasses to someone that needs them and will appreciate the gift of sight. Please consider downloading from here, two of our songs, and with your help, we can provide more people with the gift of sight. Thank you."
Movies
Generally pre-1950; i.e., Wuthering Heights, Blue Angel, The Bishop's Wife, Casablanca, Our Dancing Daughters, etc. Two notable exceptions are Time Stands Still and The Yellow Submarine.
Television
Haven't turned it on in years! Before the demise of my computer's DVD drive, I enjoyed Doctor Who and Torchwood.
Frankly, I'd far rather view art; specifically:
Books
I honestly wouldn't know where to begin, as I'm a voracious reader who enjoys all genres.
First, heartfelt thanks to Jen for leading me to Duncton Wood (and thus to William Horwood)!
Some of the authors I would recommend to others include Rainer Maria Rilke, Ram Dass, James Joyce, Thomas Hardy, William Faulkner, Hermann Hesse, Ernest Hemingway, Hans Christian Andersen, James Patterson, Sue Grafton, George Sand, Edgar Allan Poe, Annie Dillard, Wilfred Owen, Stephen Hawking, Phillippe Labro, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Larry McMurtry, Nelson DeMille, W. Edward Blain, and Justin Peter Beaney. A bit of a motley crew!
There's a wonderful anthology called Poems on the Underground in which I always find something to match my mood.

All arrangements for filming of the show were organized solely by Tony Carey, who generously made portions available to all of us as public domain media.
Please remember that Over The Rainbow has ONLY ONE OFFICIAL site on the web:
Fans of Tony Carey might also be interested in clips from his mini-tour of Sweden on 17 and 18 April 2009, during the break in Over The Rainbow's tour. The blog links are:
MySpace Music, in conjunction with Amazon, now offers limited Tony Carey and Planet P Project music for listening and purchase. For your convenience, I've collected the information and links:
Tony's website includes a form to send e-mail to him as well as a public guestbook.
And on to "me":
Guess what? I'm NOT Tony Carey, despite the FAQs above! I've lived quite a colorful life, and the roller coaster ride continues. To paraphrase one of my favorite authors, "Some people are more normal than others." I leave it up to you to place me on that highly subjective scale.
Because my "long, strange trip" (apologies to the Grateful Dead), both past and present, might best be termed well off the beaten path -- somewhere in the forest, actually -- I'm literally indescribable within the context of a blurb. Have a look at my interests, education, and networking; ask any questions you wish.
Please don't be put off by the high number of my MySpace contacts. My primary reason for being here is to network, and thankfully, I've been able to develop solid relationships among the vast majority of those to whom I'm linked.
I will say this much: I have world-class ears, and they're available to listen to any and all music that comes my way.
My mantra: "I am loving awareness." (Ram Dass)
