BluesRoot is made up of three former '60's rock veterans who have regained their musical soul. They pay tribute to the sounds of the greats who laid the foundation for America's rock 'n roll heritage.
Full of satire, double meanings, and real life insight, BluesRoot songs are emotion filled musical journeys that make you smile, laugh and cry. They tease you with hints of Elvis, Carl Perkins, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Muddy Waters and others.
All the BluesRoot songs were written by singer John D. Moore who also plays acoustic/electric and slide guitar as well as blues inspired harmonica. Nashville trained music vet Art Borgeson adds retro cool guitar lines to color the songs giving them the perfect feel. Jeff Ward adds bottom solid bass lines to the mix.
Their new release, "Live. Real. In the moment" was recorded live and real. No studio gimmicks here. Just songs from the soul played by guys who paint them with a lifetime of memories.
Three selections are getting significant internet radio streaming play. "Hold tight mama" is a moving early rock 'n roll sounding instant classic that details coming home after a long...long...time on the road.
"So tired of lyin" is a plea for reconcilation between a man and woman in a stormy relationship.
"It was a hell of a party" is a boy's night out...gone bad!
