"Blue Star Creeper has a lot of promise; they're trying to find their own voice in this great sea of mediocrity." — Joe Ehrbar, Backfire Magazine
Blue Star Creeper is a band from Seattle, Washington formed in 2001. We blend elements of rock music with strings and a strong vocal presence. The sound is formed around lyrically focused original songs, played and sung from the heart where a folk ballad can explode into epic rock. We are on MySpace to meet all aspect of musically minded people, and to share our creative endeavors with a large community.
The band has played live at The Triple Door MQ Lounge, The Crocodile Cafe, The High Dive, Chop Suey, The Comet, The Skylark Club, The Blue Moon, The Mars Bar, The Dubliner, Tost, Nectar Lounge, The Tonic Lounge (Portland), Center Camp stage at Burning Man 2008, and many others in the past. Some of the bands and performers we've played with include The Purrs, The Moondoggies, Romance, Spanish For 100, Key Note Speaker, Coulter, Emblematic, Charmin Wray, Dave Keppel, Porter Harp, Samurai Bow, Tularosa, Polly Panic, Ladies of The Night, The Kindness Kind, Ghost Lobby, The Quit, Cock & Swan, The End Times, and Levi Fuller.
Our 4 song CD "Demos from Day at the Beach" landed at number 8 on the local music charts at the University of Washington's Rainy Dawg Radio among the likes of the Shins, Neko Case and Menomena. Blue Star Creeper is in the process of recording and self releasing it's next album and is working on setting up more regional shows in the Northwest and beyond.
We are just recently getting a "venue facelift" in the city (several sparking small - midsize new venues.) In the past, there was usually one working bathroom for an entire mini-arena. Nothing in this city is up to code. It's a good time for you to tour here if you get the chance. You can all stay at my house :) but I don't cook.
