What would happen if you combined a discoteque, the Grateful Dead and Steely Dan?
The less than obvious Bluestone.
Bluestone has been performing around Northwest Montana years in varying formations, but has recently solidified in the mind-bending quartet featuring danceable, body throbbing grooves will transport you to a land of magical, expansive improvisation. Members of Bluestone have performed with STS9, Signal Path,Steve Kimock, Pedactor and Big Daddy and the Bluenotes. Come enjoy a special evening as you sweat to the of music of Bluestone.
Bluestone was founded by Matt Jones (founding member of Signal Path and keyboardist extraordinaire) in the Flathead Valley to explore his original rock, fusion and funk compositions. That's what everyone thought, at least. Matt has a secret and sinister plan to blow peoples minds, to literally groove so hard that people's heads explode.
Ah hem... Back to the bio...
The group performs at music festivals, clubs, weddings and private parties and is rapidly gaining regional recognition for its excellent music.
Bluestone's ability to play a wide variety of styles-- from ballads to jazz, blues to funk, original tunes to covers, and mellow to dance-able-- makes us a versatile and skilled group. Our signature style can create a fun, energetic party with the funkiest dance grooves.
Wait, wait, wait... NO ONE'S posted any comments on your profile page yet? That's just so wrong that I have to rectify the situation immediately. Haven't heard anything like Signal Path in a while so here's hoping Bluestone brings the brain-exploding groove.
