Bio:

Julie Caran, Kevin Caran and Sarah Cheverton make up the local contemporary acoustic folk band, blue stone sky. All three band members work at JMU (James Madison University) and enjoy opportunities to entertain at University events and other venues in Harrisonburg, Staunton and the surrounding areas. Their repertoire of original and cover songs is rich with intricate 3-part harmonies carefully orchestrated with a blend of acoustic guitars, electric bass, drums, shakers and small wind instruments. From whimsical to deeply serious, and classic folk to modern hits, their growing setlist is, as one listener said, "at once laid back and thoughtful." blue stone sky has been performing since the fall of 2006.
