Bio
How many times do you see a band looking bored, un-interested, just playing for themselves, going through the motions ? NOT THIS LOT !!! This is a brand of Rhythm and Booze, coming into its own in a small crowded boozy club. The " Train" is based high in the Peak District, in and around wildest Buxton. This is Rhythm and Blues as we like it – no frills – red hot 'n raw –high energy – straight between the eyes – honest and dirty. They've gone down a storm at clubs and festivals including two of the biggest ( Burnley and Colne) and all over the country. Try 'em . CLIMB ABOARD AND BOOGIE !!! Some of the Festivals that have tasted a shot of RnB are Burnley, Colne, Dundee, Diggle, Welsh Blues Fest, Tenby, Newark, Orkney, and nearly Kathmandu Himalayan Blues Fest........more this year. -

The "Train" has seen many personnel changes over the years but many believe this is the best. On guitar we have Gabby, can you ignore his pulsating lead licks? – give him a fag, a vodka 'n' see him cook. Blowing like a hurricane, fuelled by best bitter, Dennis on manic harmonica you won't see better than this. Next up the South Wales connection, fronting the band on vocals is Reg, snarling and stumbling who knows what goes on behind those shades. Over 30 years of rhythm and blues has taken its toll. Holding it all together on drums is Joker. Cool calm and steady lots of gigs under this man's belt – Guinness too. Last but not least from darkest Yorkshire newest member Howard on bass, laying down a rock solid foundation, cool dresser, likes his whiskey, steeped in the Blues, tends to loose his shades after gigs. -
Influences
Early British RnB, Rock n Roll, most old Blues geezers, who we all owe a great debt to! and anyone who puts on a great, give it all you got show, like a Blues Train show...... -
Sounds Like
Early Stones, Pretty Things, Animals, Downliners Sect, Dr. Feelgood, Pirates, no frills RnB, just like it should be and was in the British Rhythm and Blues boom in the 60's, done in the Trains own way, get your ticket n' climb aboard, hold on to your pints!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
